Great little apartment in a beautiful setting.
We had a wonderful week at Fern Cottage. We were greeted by Annie on arrival who presented us with the most amazing cream tea! Soon after, we met Randall who was busy working on his shepherds hut he was building at the top of their beautiful garden. The apartment has everything you could possibly want for a week or two away from home. It’s all the little added extras and attention to detail that make it so special. Thank you Annie and Randall for your kind hospitality, I’m sure we’ll be seeing you again!

Well presented, fully equipped apartment surrounded by beautiful tiered gardens. Proximity to trailways makes an ideal location for an active couple who enjoy walking/cycling.

A wonderful place to stay to ‘get away from it all’
Well equipped comfortable apartment with friendly welcoming hosts. Nothing too much trouble for Annette and Randle. Great to have welcoming gifts and eggs from friendly chickens who seemed to want to join us when we ate outside. My mobility poor but they managed to arrange for my entry and exit to and from property easy . The garden is a delight. Beautiful ,artistic ,interesting, eco /wildlife friendly ,garden ,making it a worthwhile visit to stay at this beautiful property. Thank you Annette and Randle for your hospitality and welcome. Property exactly as described,spotless condition,warm, friendly owners(including unusually friendly cat).Everything supplied for a very nice stay.Lovely garden for those wanting a complete chill.Perfect location for exploring most of central and southern Cornwall.Highly reccommended.

Enchanting place with most friendly owners
OK, we were very lucky with the weather during our stay, but this lovely place also added much to our pleasure. This top-floor appartment is small but very practically designed and fitted. It’s thoughfully equiped with everything you need for a getaway for two; also the kitchen inventory is tasteful and of good quality. The terraced garden is quite stunning, and the presence of chickens and two cats around the property really adds to the charm. The cottage is in a very green and peaceful place, close to a former tramway line, a very easy starting point for some walks. Finally, hosts Randall and Annie are very hospitable, helpful and most friendly. All in all, it’s a great place to stay!

Clean, tastefully decorated
The steps leading up to the apartment may be too difficult for some people. Otherwise the property was well planned for two people, and well equipped. The only thing we would have liked was a radio. We would recommend it to friends.

Cosy apartment with very welcoming owners
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fern Cottsge. The owners were very welcoming with a delicious cream tea and also provided fresh eggs, home made marmalade, local biscuits and fresh flowers. Randall and Annie were around and were very helpful but not intrusive. The apartment was spotlessly clean, cosy and was well equipped. It is situated in a tranquil setting in lovely gardens. The position of the cottage in the middle of west Cornwall is ideal to explore the area. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay.

Lovely apartment in rural setting
A warm welcome from the owners who made us feel at home from the outset. The property contains everything needed for a cosy, comfortable stay. Fully equipped with lots of little thoughtful touches. Centrally situated to explore the coastline, countryside and villages situated in this beautiful part of the world. All in all we had a great stay and would love to return.

Beautiful cottage and gardens
We spent a week here and were fortunate enough to enjoy mostly sunny weather all week! Randall & Annie met us when we arrived, and Annie brought us a cream tea to relax with after the journey. Nice all in cottage in the middle of nature. Very attent owners
We were surprised with a lovely Cream tea when we arrived. Cottage was Nice and clean with a big garden, where we could sit anywhere (Nice in the subtropical temperatures) We got many information About places to go, and could explore non-touristic parts. Place to recommend to visit west-Cornwall.

Fern Cottage at Lanner
Owners very friendly and helpful. Parking appeared to be difficult on arrival but we didn’t have any problems after that. A delicious cream tea awaiting us with the biggest scones. We also received biscuits, eggs etc. Randall went fishing and brought back mackerel which my husband enjoyed. Nice shower and window space for cosmetics. Good Wi-Fi. Near to many delightful places.

Lovely hideaway!
Pleasantly surprised with the location of this property – located off a country lane – so felt quite secluded. The quality of the property was first class – quite recently renovated so nice and clean. First class welcome from the owners – Randall and Annie – cream tea much appreciated after a long drive! The property is all on one level making access easy. Would love to return! Central location made it easy to drive to all the locations / visitor spots that we wanted to visit. Thank you again, to our hosts for letting us stay in your lovely property.

A warm welcome at Annie’s and Randell’s holiday flat.
Annie and Randell made us feel very much at home. We were offered scones and tea when we arrived. The accommodation was everything we could have wished for and more. The garden and patio were perfect for alfresco dining – a great place to relax and unwind. We highly recommend. A good center to explore the North, West and South coast of Cornwall

Great Apartment!
Clean, beautiful little apartment. Great value for money, with very friendly hosts. The garden is beautiful and we would recommend to any couple who want to explore Cornwall.
“Looking back, we can really recommend this holiday rental without any restrictions. The rooms were very clean, tidy and lovingly decorated! The location was also ideal to meet our tight schedule for the individual days (you can refuel eg at Esso nearby or at Tesco everything you need so shopping). The landlords were really very nice and absolutely accommodating. Worth mentioning in my opinion is the great garden (you could almost say: more than competitive compared to the many paid gardens in southern England) the landlord, in which you can also like to stay as a guest / may. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and will gladly come back.”

A little gem
We loved our stay at Fern cottage, Randall & Annie were wonderful hosts. The afternoon tea on arrival was most welcome after the long trip from Cumbria. The apartment had everything and probably more than the two of us needed for our weeks stay, it’s also in good travelling distance of all the main Cornish attractions. We would have no problem in booking again if the opportunity arose in the future. Thanks again and all the best for the future.

An ideally located retreat
Fern Cottage is situated in a lovely, peaceful location yet close to amenities. A clean, cosy base with all the home comforts and thoughtful extras to make you feel welcome…fresh eggs, home made jams and flowers, plus a fantastic cream tea!! Delightful holiday accommodation
We very much enjoyed our holiday in Fern Cottage, set in beautiful countryside, with extensive terraced gardens. The accommodation was well presented with everything we could have possibly required for our self-catering holiday. Randall and Annie provided us with lots of ‘extras’ (cream tea on arrival, fresh eggs from their hens, home-made jams, and fresh flowers) all of which were much appreciated. Fantastic spot, lovely owners, great holiday =)
When we arrived we were greeted by Annie who was just lovely. The apartment was a lovely space with fresh flowers and afternoon tea which was so nice after a 3 hour drive. Throughout the week we saw Annie and Randall a bit and they gave us some ideas on places to eat, but they were never intrusive. Lovely private courtyard seating area outside and fantastic walking just outside the beautiful garden. We will definitely be staying again as we felt the accommodation was brilliant value for money. Being situated where it is, it was so easy to get to all of Cornwall and see so many places without having to travel too far each day. Thank you for having us =)

Lovely little cottage
We were met by the owners with a cream tea, which was most welcome after a long journey. The cottage was clean and inviting and has everything you could need except a hairdryer. There are quite a few steps, some of them quite big, so you may want to bear this in mind. We had a lovely holiday with the cottage being conveniently situated for most places in the south of Cornwall. Will definitely think of this cottage and the friendly and helpful owners next time we visit Cornwall.

Lovely, peaceful place, ideal base for exploring Cornwall
This is our second visit, and just as good as last time. It was pouring with rain when we arrived, but we still received a warm welcome and a cream tea. The hosts are kind and helpful but not intrusive. The cottage is equipped with everything you could need and has a lovely garden where you can sit.

A wonderful Holiday
After a long drive from London a very warm welcome with Tea and warm Scones in the sun just outside the beautiful Cottage. Very nicely furnished, extremly quiet and very clean. Ideal for walking right out the garden gate to the Cornwall greens around you or central for driving to either North, South, East or West of Cornwall. Due to the quietness and cozyness, we had no urge to leave in the evening to go out. The bed /bedroom assures a restfull sleep. We had a lovely week and enjoyed being guests of Randall and Annette. Absolute recommendable and if we are off to Cornwall again, this is the first address I’ll contact! Thanks again to Annette and Randall.
